FAQs

1. Where will my session take place?

Most of my horse and rider sessions take place at the farm where your horse lives. This makes the getting ready process much easier and ensures your horse is as comfortable as possible during your session. However if there's another location you're interested in shooting at, let's chat!

2. Can my dog, significant other, etc. join in a few photos?

Absolutely! If you're a horse girl, you're also most likely also a dog lover. I love to include other family members (human or not) in sessions!

3. What about hair, makeup, and wardrobe?

I provide recommendations for these in your prep & style guide! I can also provide recommendations for what you're looking for and for what has worked well for my clients in the past.

4. What if the weather is bad?

Since all horse and rider sessions take place outdoors, weather can occasionally become an issue. If this happens, we will work together to reschedule your session at no extra cost to you.

5. Can I include more than one horse in my session?

For sure! I do recommend booking at least an hour and a half session for more than one horse. This ensures we have enough time for individual photos with both horses, more than one outfit, and photos with all horses together if you'd like.

6. Will I get the digital files?

All decisions regarding wall art, albums, prints, and digital files will be made after viewing your images. You will receive digital files of every image purchased as a print or wall art, but can also purchase your remaining images as digital files. Most of my clients purchase a combination of all of the above!

7. What kind of print options do you offer?

I offer handmade canvases, beautifully painted with acrylic brushstrokes, a more basic gallery wrap canvas option, metals, acrylics, and framed prints. I also offer two different album options. Loose small prints can be purchased at any time after image delivery in your online gallery!

8. How far in advance should I book?

I recommend booking your session 1-3 months in advance. This allows us plenty of time to schedule your planning call, discuss session details, pick out outfits, etc. to create your perfect session!

9. I'm worried my horse won't behave or stand still for photos- what should I do?

As an equestrian of 22 years myself, I've seen and dealt with it all! I will give you tips and tricks during our planning call that should help the session go smoothly. If your horse still has trouble standing still day of, there are several things we can do to help, and worst case scenario, I have a very fast shutter :)
